शल्यपर्वणि प्रथमाध्यायः — Karṇa-vadha-anantaraṃ Śalya-niyogaḥ, Saṃjayasya Dhṛtarāṣṭra-nivedanam

दुर्योधन वै पुरत: कृत्वा वैरं च भारत । “भरतश्रेष्ठ) भरतनन्दन! कालने दुर्योधन और उसके वैरको आगे करके सम्पूर्ण जगत््‌को नष्ट कर दिया'

duryodhanaṃ vai purataḥ kṛtvā vairaṃ ca bhārata |

毗湿摩波耶那说道:“婆罗多啊,把都利约陀那推到最前——并让仇怨之心与他同行——时间与命运之力遂使整个世界走向毁灭。”此句强调:若将一位领袖的敌意奉为圭臬,冲突便会化作吞噬一切的浩劫。
