गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः

शुभे पात्रे ये गुणा गोप्रदाने तावान्‌ दोषो ब्राह्मणस्वापहारे । सर्वावस्थं ब्राह्मणस्वापहारो दाराश्नैषां दूरतो वर्जनीया:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | śubhe pātre ye guṇā gopradāne tāvān doṣo brāhmaṇasvāpahāre | sarvāvasthaṃ brāhmaṇasvāpahāro dārāś ca eṣāṃ dūrato varjanīyāḥ ||

Translation

毗湿摩说：“向贤善之受者施与一牛所得之功德有多少，夺取婆罗门财物所生之罪业亦有多少，二者等量。故无论何种境况，皆不可侵夺婆罗门之财富；并且亦当远远避离，与婆罗门之妻发生任何不正之交。”
