पूर्वाभाद्रपदायोगे राजमाषान् प्रदाय तु । सर्वभक्षफलोपेत: स वै प्रेत्य सुखी भवेत्
Pūrvābhādrapadā-yoge rāja-māṣān pradāya tu | sarva-bhakṣa-phala-upetaḥ sa vai pretya sukhī bhavet ||
那罗陀说道:“当月宿‘前婆陀罗钵陀’(Pūrvābhādrapadā)与吉祥之瑜伽相合之时,若有人施舍‘王摩沙’(rāja-māṣa,优等的摩沙豆),其人死后将得安乐之境,具足种种饮食与果品。”
नारद उवाच
The verse teaches that timely charity—specifically donating a valued food-grain/pulse during the Pūrvābhādrapadā nakṣatra—yields merit that ripens as posthumous well-being, symbolized by abundance of food and fruits.
Nārada is instructing about the fruits of specific acts of dāna (gift-giving) performed under particular astral conditions, describing the beneficial result in the next world for the donor.
