Brāhmaṇya-प्रश्नः — The Inquiry into Attaining Brāhmaṇya
Mataṅga–Gardabhī Itihāsa
Residence at a revered tīrtha (here, Kanyāhrada) is presented as a powerful dharmic practice that yields puṇya, purifies one’s destiny, and leads to a heavenly afterlife—symbolized by not having to go to Yama’s abode.
The speaker is extolling the greatness (māhātmya) of a specific sacred place, stating the spiritual result of staying there: freedom from Yama’s realm and attainment of Devaloka after death.
