सहधर्म-प्रश्नः तथा अष्टावक्रोपाख्यान-प्रस्तावः

मार्कण्डेयान्मया प्राप्तो नियमेन जनार्दन । तवाप्यहममित्रघ्न स्तवं दद्यां हविश्रुतम्
Mārkaṇḍeyān mayā prāpto niyamena Janārdana | tavāpy aham amitraghna stavaṃ dadyāṃ haviśrutam ||
风神伐由说道：“噢，阇那尔陀那！我以严谨的戒律修持，从圣者摩罗迦ṇḍeya处得此法。也要赐予你，噢，诛敌者——这首赞颂之歌；它声名显赫，如同祭祀中所献的供物（havis）一般受人敬奉。”
