Transliteration

godāvarī ca veṇyā ca kṛṣṇaveṇā tathādrijā | dṛṣadvatī ca kāverī cakṣur mandākinī tathā ||

Translation

毗湿摩继续诵出圣河的神圣名号：戈达瓦丽（Godāvarī）、韦尼娅（Veṇyā）、黑韦尼河（Kṛṣṇaveṇā）、阿德丽迦（Adrījā）、德利沙德瓦蒂（Dṛṣadvatī）、迦维丽（Kāverī）、恰克舒（Cakṣu）与曼达吉尼（Mandākinī）。在更广的段落中，这种点名乃护身之祈：以忆念并礼敬诸天、仙圣、圣地，尤以诸“渡口圣地”tīrtha（朝圣净水）为重，使自身与法（dharma）相应，求得清净与护佑。其伦理旨趣在于：恭敬的忆念（smaraṇa）与对神圣的谦卑，能成就内在的自制、功德与安宁。
