यास्य घोरतमा मूर्तिर्जगत् संहरते तथा । ईश्वरत्वान्महत्त्वाच्च महेश्वर इति स्मृत:
Transliteration
yāsya ghoratamā mūrtir jagat saṃharate tathā | īśvaratvān mahattvācca maheśvara iti smṛtaḥ ||
Translation
风神伐由说道：“他那最可怖的形相，促成世界的毁灭与归寂。又因他具足至上主宰与伟大，所以人们以‘摩诃伊湿伐罗’（Maheśvara，大自在天、伟大之主）之名铭记他。”
