Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
nodvejayati bhūtāni na vidhātayate tathā | hastapādaiḥ suniyatair aviśvāsyaḥ sarvajantuṣu ||
The verse teaches ahiṃsā supported by self-restraint: a virtuous person controls body and senses so as not to frighten or harm any being, thereby becoming universally trusted and attaining heavenly reward.
Śrī Maheśvara is describing the marks and fruit of a compassionate, non-violent person—one whose disciplined conduct makes him harmless and trusted by all creatures, leading to divine enjoyment in Svarga.
