Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
भूधरो नागमौज्जी च नागकुण्डलकुण्डली । नागयज्ञोपवीती च नागचर्मोत्तरच्छद:
bhūdharo nāgamaūjjī ca nāgakuṇḍalakuṇḍalī | nāgayajñopavītī ca nāgacarmottaracchadaḥ ||
婆苏提婆说道：“他是承载大地者；以群蛇为束带。佩蛇为耳环，系蛇所成的圣线（yajñopavīta），并以蛇皮为上衣披覆。”此描绘令人想见舍沙（Śeṣa）为宇宙之支柱——以克制与坚守职责为标志——连其饰物亦象征受纪律约束之力，尽用于维系世界。
