Uma–Maheshvara Vrata, Shula-dana, and Month-wise Ekabhakta Vrata
पौर्णमास्याममावास्यां चतुर्दश्यष्टमीषु च नक्तमब्दं प्रकुर्वीत हविष्यं पूजयेद्भवम्
paurṇamāsyāmamāvāsyāṃ caturdaśyaṣṭamīṣu ca naktamabdaṃ prakurvīta haviṣyaṃ pūjayedbhavam
在满月日、新月日,以及月历第十四日与第八日,应当守持一年之誓:唯于夜间进食,并以haviṣya——清净而已加持的供品——礼敬婆婆(Bhava,即湿婆)。

It prescribes specific parva (sacred lunar) days and a year-long naktabhojana-vrata with pure offerings, framing Linga/Śiva worship as sustained discipline (niyama) that ripens devotion and ritual purity.
By naming Śiva as Bhava, it points to Him as Pati—the Lord who grants auspicious becoming and transforms the bound soul (paśu) when approached through steady observance and reverent worship.
A vrata-based sādhanā: naktabhojana (eating only at night) maintained for one year, coupled with haviṣya offerings—an outer discipline that supports inner Pāśupata-oriented restraint and devotion.
