Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Ayurveda","secondary_vidya":"Mantra","practical_application":"Healing/relief rite combining mantra-phoneme mapping (varṇa/akṣara nyāsa-like coding) with homa materials (udumbara samidh, sweet oblation) aimed at disease-removal, sorrow-relief, sin-cleansing, and obstacle-destruction.","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"List","entry_title":"Roga-śoka-nivṛtti mantra-code with udumbara samidh and madhumānna","lookup_keywords":["roga-nivritti","vighna-vinashana","udumbara-samidh","auṣadhayaḥ","akṣara-krama"],"quick_summary":"The verse promises relief from disease and sorrow through a specified akṣara/word-sequence and prescribes udumbara fuel and a honey-sweet oblation, framing the rite as both healing and obstacle-removal."}
Alamkara Type: Anuprasa (phonetic emphasis via akṣara/varṇa sequencing)
Concept: Śabda (mantra) + dravya (homa materials) synergy: inner purification (kilviṣa-nāśa) supports outer relief (roga/śoka-nivṛtti).
Application: Apply as a combined remedial protocol: disciplined recitation of the coded sequence, homa with specified samidh/naivedya, and ethical purification intent for sustained obstacle-removal.
Khanda Section: Ayurveda / Mantra-prayoga (Healing and obstacle-removal applications)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A healer-priest performs a small homa with udumbara sticks and a honey-sweet offering; beside him a sick person sits recovering as mantra syllables are shown as a coded sequence on a manuscript.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, intimate healing-homa scene, udumbara sticks stacked, sweet oblation bowl, patient seated with calm aura, mantra akṣaras floating as stylized script, soothing palette.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore, gold-highlighted homa flames and vessels, udumbara samidh emphasized, patient receiving blessings, decorative script panel with key words (auṣadhayaḥ, vighna-vināśana).","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style, instructional medical-ritual plate: labeled udumbara samidh, madhumānna preparation, akṣara mapping table (ṭa/ka/ja/gha/ña/cha), clear and didactic composition.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, physician-priest in a study-courtyard, manuscript open with akṣara codes, patient attended, delicate rendering of herbs and sweets, smoke curling gently upward."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"healing","suggested_raga":"Kalyani","pace":"slow","voice_tone":"contemplative"}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: rogārto = roga + ārtaḥ. duḥkhāttu = duḥkhāt + tu. śatañceti = śatam + ca + iti. Several letter-markers (ṭa/ka/ja/gha/ña/cha) appear as mantra/nyāsa indicators; text is partially corrupt/elliptic in places (e.g., pratimodadhyam).
Related Themes: Agni Purana 259 (mantra-prayoga and śānti remedies)
It states the practical phala (result) of a prescribed mantra/letter-sequence used with homa-style offerings: relief from disease and sorrow, plus purification (sin-removal) and removal of obstacles, with udumbara fuel and a honeyed food oblation.
It blends mantra-vidhi (coded syllable/word instructions) with applied healing and ritual pharmacology (auṣadhi, specific samidh like udumbara, and food oblations), showing how the text integrates ritual technology with therapeutic aims.
Beyond physical relief, it frames the practice as sarvakilviṣa-nāśana (erasing moral impurity) and vighna-vināśana (clearing karmic/ritual impediments), aligning health, purity, and success in rites as interconnected outcomes.
