Related Themes: Agni Purana: Puja-vidhi on ācārya/ṛtvik honorarium (dakṣiṇā), śauca, and mandira-praveśa rules
It prescribes yajña-preliminaries: feeding brāhmaṇas, honoring the ācārya, then performing snāna (bath), ācamana (ritual sipping), and vāg-niyama (speech-restraint) before entering the yāga-mandira.
It documents procedural ritual protocol—social obligations (hospitality to priests), priestly hierarchy (ācārya), and purity disciplines (snāna/ācamana/niyama)—showing the text’s practical coverage of liturgy alongside its many other sciences.
Honoring the learned and maintaining purity and self-restraint are presented as conditions for siddhi (successful completion) of the rite, aligning external ritual accuracy with inner discipline for merit and efficacy.
