在该布局中,第一条线的尖端应朝向吉祥之方(北方);两条线则应面向东方。在其间亦当再画三条线,按次第自南方起行。

Concept: Dik (direction) as a governing principle for correct ritual/architectural form.
Application: Maintain consistent north/east orientation to preserve intended symbolic and functional alignment in mandalas and layouts.
Khanda Section: Vastu-vidya / Yantra-lekhana (Ritual diagrams and directional layout)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A square/rectangular layout with two main east-facing lines, the first line’s tip marked toward the north; three intermediate lines are drawn between, with a directional compass showing south-to-north sequence.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style, mandala grid on temple floor, compass-like dik markers, artisan drawing lines, north indicated as saumya, bold outlines and flat color fields","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore style, yantra layout with gold accents on cardinal direction markers, east-facing arrows, three inner lines highlighted, ornate frame","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style, clean didactic composition: labeled directions (E,N,S,W), two principal lines and three intermediate lines, fine brushwork and soft shading","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, scholar-architect demonstrating a diagram to students, paper/ground plan with arrows to north and east, meticulous geometric detailing"}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: saumyāgrā is taken as bahuvrīhi compound; kur yād dakṣiṇādikrameṇa → kuryāt dakṣiṇa-ādi-krameṇa.
Related Themes: Agni Purana 24 (Yantra/rekhā sequence context); Agni Purana sections on dik-nirṇaya in ritual layouts (within pūjā/yantra contexts)
It teaches rekhā-nyāsa: how to orient primary lines eastward, set the first line’s point toward the auspicious northern side, and insert three intermediate lines using a south-first directional sequence (dakṣiṇādi-krama).
Beyond mythology, it preserves practical Vastu/ritual-geometry rules—precise instructions for diagram construction and directional orientation used in temple/yantra contexts.
Correct directional alignment and orderly construction are treated as essential to ritual purity and efficacy—ensuring the rite is performed in harmony with auspicious spatial order.
