Agastya (quoting the brāhmaṇa/Dharma in narrative)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A radiant Ayodhyā appears slightly above the earth, as if resting upon a vast luminous Sudarśana-cakra; the city’s ramparts and temples glow with Vaiṣṇava splendor, suggesting an otherworldly suspension.
Ayodhyā is portrayed as transcendent—sustained by Viṣṇu—signaling that sacred space can be more than ordinary geography.
Ayodhyā, the supreme purī, is directly glorified.
No ritual is prescribed; the verse is a metaphysical praise of Ayodhyā’s divine foundation.
