आद्यो विरंचिनामासीद्यदा ब्रह्मा पितामहः । मृत्युञ्जयस्तदा नाम सोमनाथस्य कीर्तितम्
ādyo viraṃcināmāsīdyadā brahmā pitāmahaḥ | mṛtyuñjayastadā nāma somanāthasya kīrtitam
Trong chu kỳ đầu tiên, khi Phạm Thiên được gọi là Virañci, bậc Tổ Phụ, thì danh hiệu được ca tụng cho Somanātha khi ấy là “Mṛtyuñjaya” — Đấng chiến thắng Tử thần.
