Pilgrimage bears fruit when joined with disciplined purity (snāna) and generosity (dāna) offered to the learned.
The Prabhāsa-kṣetra tīrtha being discussed in Adhyāya 353, where Dvādaśī snāna and dāna are prescribed.
Give dāna properly to a Veda-knower and perform snāna on Dvādaśī, both according to prescribed ritual procedure (vidhi).
