A Cāraṇa messenger (speaking to Viṣṇu/Janārdana)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and Naimiṣāraṇya ṛṣis
Scene: Viṣṇu stands close to the blazing wrath-form, delivering calm, medicinal counsel; devas remain at a respectful distance, fearful yet hopeful; the contrast is between cooling speech and burning anger.
In crisis, dhārmic counsel (pathya) should be heard and followed—especially when it supports the welfare of all.
The wider narrative belongs to Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya, the glorification of Prabhāsa (Somnāth region) as a sacred landscape.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; the verse introduces a counsel meant to avert danger and restore order.
