ततः स्वजानुमात्रेण संप्राप्तं पृथिवीतले । ततो विष्णुपदी गंगा प्रसिद्धिमगमत्क्षितौ

Transliteration

tataḥ svajānumātreṇa saṃprāptaṃ pṛthivītale | tato viṣṇupadī gaṃgā prasiddhimagamatkṣitau

Translation

Rồi dòng nước ấy hạ xuống mặt đất trong tầm đến đầu gối của chính Ngài và chạm tới bề mặt thế gian. Từ sự kiện ấy, sông Gaṅgā được tôn xưng khắp cõi là “Viṣṇupadī”—dòng sông sinh từ Bàn Chân của Viṣṇu.
