Pulastya (contextual continuation)
Tirtha: Rāma-tīrtha
Type: tirtha
Scene: A pilgrim offers tarpaṇa with cupped hands at the water’s edge; behind, a visionary tableau shows pitṛs receiving offerings with serene satisfaction. A secondary vignette hints at Bhārgava Rāma, axe-bearing, as a remembered hero.
Tīrtha-related merit is linked not only to personal purification but also to enduring benefit for one’s ancestors.
Rāma-tīrtha (the section continues its māhātmya by invoking Bhārgava Rāma).
No explicit rite is stated here, but the verse frames the result in terms of pitṛ-tuṣṭi, commonly associated with snāna and ancestor-oriented offerings.
