विधिर्वेदविधिः कार्यो निषेधो नियमो मतः । विधिश्चैव निषेधश्च द्वावेतौ विष्णुरेव हि
vidhirvedavidhiḥ kāryo niṣedho niyamo mataḥ | vidhiścaiva niṣedhaśca dvāvetau viṣṇureva hi
Điều được truyền dạy phải thực hành đúng theo pháp lệnh Veda; điều bị ngăn cấm được hiểu là niyama—sự tự chế kỷ luật. Quả thật, mệnh lệnh và cấm chỉ—hai điều ấy—chính là Viṣṇu mà thôi.
