वज्रांग उवाच । केन तेऽपकृतं भीरु वर्तंत्यास्तपसि स्वके । कथं रोदिषि वा बाले मयि जीवति भर्तरि । कं वा कामं प्रयच्छामि शीघ्रं प्रब्रूहि भामिनि
vajrāṃga uvāca | kena te'pakṛtaṃ bhīru vartaṃtyāstapasi svake | kathaṃ rodiṣi vā bāle mayi jīvati bhartari | kaṃ vā kāmaṃ prayacchāmi śīghraṃ prabrūhi bhāmini
Vajrāṅga nói: "Hỡi nàng nhút nhát, ai đã làm hại nàng khi nàng đang tu khổ hạnh? Tại sao nàng lại khóc, hỡi bé con, khi ta - chồng của nàng - vẫn còn sống? Hãy nói mau, hỡi người vợ nồng nàn: ta sẽ ban cho nàng ước nguyện gì?"
