अग्निरूपेण तस्याश्च स ददाह महाश्रमम् । चकर्ष वायुरूपेण महोग्रेण च तां शुभाम् । एवं सिहवृकाद्याभिर्भीषिकाभिः पुनःपुनः
agnirūpeṇa tasyāśca sa dadāha mahāśramam | cakarṣa vāyurūpeṇa mahogreṇa ca tāṃ śubhām | evaṃ sihavṛkādyābhirbhīṣikābhiḥ punaḥpunaḥ
Hắn hóa thành lửa thiêu rụi tịnh thất lớn của nàng; lại hóa thành cơn gió dữ hung bạo mà lôi kéo người phụ nữ cát tường ấy. Cứ thế, hết lần này đến lần khác, bằng những hiện hình kinh hãi—sư tử, sói và các loài tương tự—hắn toan làm lung lay chí nguyện của nàng.
