मा गा देवि गताद्य त्वं नहि द्रक्ष्यसि मां पुनः । पुनर्देवी बभाषे सा यदि नाम्नाप्यहं सती
mā gā devi gatādya tvaṃ nahi drakṣyasi māṃ punaḥ | punardevī babhāṣe sā yadi nāmnāpyahaṃ satī
“Đừng đi, hỡi Nữ Thần; nếu nàng đi hôm nay, nàng sẽ không còn thấy ta nữa.” Rồi Nữ Thần lại nói: “Dẫu chỉ trên danh nghĩa, ta vẫn là ‘Satī’…”
