पितृगोत्रे मृता ये वै मातृपक्षे च ये मृताः । तेषामत्र कृतः पिंडो भवेदक्षयतृप्तिदः
pitṛgotre mṛtā ye vai mātṛpakṣe ca ye mṛtāḥ | teṣāmatra kṛtaḥ piṃḍo bhavedakṣayatṛptidaḥ
Những người đã mất trong dòng họ bên cha và những người đã mất bên ngoại—khi dâng piṇḍa tại đây cho họ, lễ ấy trở thành nguồn ban sự an thỏa bất hoại.
