ब्राह्मणं प्राहुरतिथिं संपूज्य शक्तितो बुधैः । न पृछेत्तत्राचरणं स्वाध्यायं चापि पंडितः

Transliteration

brāhmaṇaṃ prāhuratithiṃ saṃpūjya śaktito budhaiḥ | na pṛchettatrācaraṇaṃ svādhyāyaṃ cāpi paṃḍitaḥ

Translation

Bậc hiền trí nói rằng brāhmaṇa chính là ‘atithi’. Sau khi kính lễ tiếp đãi tùy theo khả năng, người gia chủ học rộng chớ tra hỏi tại đó về hạnh kiểm hay cả việc tự tụng học Veda (svādhyāya) của vị ấy.
