Vì thế, những ai khao khát giải thoát hẳn nên lắng nghe đi nghe lại. Với trí hiểu trong sáng và chánh thiện, hãy thực hành năm lần tụng đọc (hoặc nghe) chính bộ Purāṇa này.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Significance: Frames śravaṇa as a mokṣa-sādhana for mumukṣus; the ‘five recitations’ functions like a vrata/anuṣṭhāna, comparable to repeated temple visits or parāyaṇa cycles.
Role: teaching
It teaches that moksha-oriented seekers should repeatedly hear the Shiva Purana, because sustained śravaṇa refines the intellect (saddhī) and deepens devotion and right knowledge of Pati (Shiva), loosening the bonds of pāśa.
Repeated hearing of Shiva’s Purana strengthens bhakti toward Saguna Shiva—often approached through Linga worship—so the mind becomes steady in devotion and gradually fit to grasp Shiva’s higher, transcendent reality beyond form.
It directly recommends pañcāvṛtti—fivefold listening/recitation of the Shiva Purana—as a disciplined devotional observance (purāṇa-pārāyaṇa), ideally done with focused attention and a purified intention for liberation.
