Para–Apara Ontology
यः परामपरां चैव विभूतिं वेत्ति तत्त्वतः । सो ऽपरो भूतिमुल्लंघ्य परां भूतिं समश्नुते
yaḥ parāmaparāṃ caiva vibhūtiṃ vetti tattvataḥ | so 'paro bhūtimullaṃghya parāṃ bhūtiṃ samaśnute
Ai thật sự biết đúng như thật cả vibhūti cao và thấp của Đấng Chúa—người ấy vượt qua trạng thái thấp, đạt vibhūti tối thượng, tức hiệp nhất với Śiva vượt ngoài mọi trói buộc.

Significance: Frames liberation as transcending the ‘lower’ condition (bondage) through true knowledge of Śiva’s higher and lower vibhūtis; supports the Siddhānta soteriology of jñāna leading to Śiva-sāyujya.
It teaches that liberation comes from tattva-jñāna—right knowledge of Śiva’s lower (immanent, manifest) and higher (transcendent) reality—by which the soul crosses bondage and reaches the supreme state of Śiva.
Linga and saguna worship trains the mind to recognize Śiva’s presence in the lower, manifest vibhūti; mature insight then leads beyond form to the higher vibhūti—Śiva as the supreme, transcendent Pati.
Meditative contemplation on Śiva-tattva supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined worship (with bhasma and rudrākṣa as aids) is implied as the practical means to transcend the lower state.
