तत्राणिमादिकं सर्वं संकल्प्य मनसा पुनः । रत्नजं वाथ सौवर्णं स्फटिकं वा सलक्षणम्
tatrāṇimādikaṃ sarvaṃ saṃkalpya manasā punaḥ | ratnajaṃ vātha sauvarṇaṃ sphaṭikaṃ vā salakṣaṇam
Tại đó, hành giả lại nên dùng tâm mà phát nguyện, quán tưởng trọn các thành tựu du-già bắt đầu từ aṇimā; rồi tiếp theo, nên tạo tác hay tưởng lập một biểu tượng có đủ tướng hảo—bằng châu báu, hoặc bằng vàng, hoặc bằng pha lê (sphaṭika) thanh tịnh.

A meditative saṅkalpa (intentional resolve) preceding worship, followed by choosing or installing a suitably marked linga (often crystal or gold) as an aid to dhyāna and steady upāsanā of Shiva.
