Cosmic Event: Solar veneration (Divākara) framed by chandas (metre-as-cosmic-vibration) and Vālakhilya seers, suggesting a cosmos sustained through mantra-structure and light.
It teaches that Śaiva worship can include honoring Vedic powers (the Chandas/metres) and venerable sages, recognizing them as supports of dharma within Śiva’s cosmic governance—thus making devotion orderly, expansive, and scripturally rooted.
In āvaraṇa-pūjā, various divine and Vedic presences are worshipped as attendants and limbs of the sacred maṇḍala surrounding the central deity; this frames Saguna worship as a complete cosmos centered on Śiva, with the Sun revered in an outer enclosure rather than as the ultimate.
It indicates third-enclosure (tṛtīyāvaraṇa) worship: offer respectful oblations and salutations to the Chandas and Vālakhilyas, then perform reverent worship of Divākara—mentally placing the Sun in the ritual maṇḍala as a purifier and witness to the vow.
