Tattva Level: pashu
Mantra: (implied) ṣaḍaṅga-mantras; brahma-mantras; mātṛkā (alphabet)
Type: kavaca
Shakti Form: Lalitā
Role: teaching
Offering: dipa
It teaches that Śiva-pūjā is not merely external offering: by sanctifying worship with mantras, ṣaḍaṅga-nyāsa, and Mātṛkā, the devotee aligns body, speech, and mind to Pati (Śiva), loosening pāśa (bondage) and orienting toward grace (anugraha).
The verse outlines a liturgical sequence suitable for Liṅga-worship: prepare the offerings, worship Parameśvara in a tangible form (Saguna—such as the Liṅga), and empower the rite through mantra and nyāsa so the external symbol becomes an inward realization of Śiva-presence.
It suggests performing mantra-based worship with ṣaḍaṅga (six-limbed) auxiliaries—commonly applied as nyāsa—and recitation/installation of the Mātṛkā letters, treating sound (śabda) as a direct means of Śiva-upāsanā.
