Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya teachings to the sages of Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It describes a Shaiva yogic method where breath-discipline is used to draw subtle spiritual force and establish Shiva-consciousness in the disciple’s heart, emphasizing inner transformation guided by a competent teacher.
While outer Linga worship supports devotion, this verse points to the inner Linga—Shiva established in the heart—where pranayama and guided contemplation make the worship internal and direct.
A pranayama sequence—kumbhaka (retention), nāḍī-guidance (subtle channel focus), and recaka (exhalation)—used within a guru-led meditative transmission/installation of sacred power in the heart.
