शिवसंस्कार-दीक्षानिरूपणम् (Śivasaṃskāra and the Typology of Dīkṣā)
समर्प्य सोदकं तस्मै नित्यं तद्वशगो भवेत् । यदा शिवाय स्वात्मानं दत्तवान् देशिकात्मने
samarpya sodakaṃ tasmai nityaṃ tadvaśago bhavet | yadā śivāya svātmānaṃ dattavān deśikātmane
Sau khi dâng lễ cúng kèm nước lên vị Guru ấy, người hành giả nên hằng ngày ở dưới sự chỉ dạy và kỷ luật của Ngài. Vì khi một người đã hiến dâng chính bản thân mình cho Śiva—hiện thân nơi vị đạo sư—thì người ấy hoàn toàn quy hướng về thẩm quyền thiêng liêng ấy.
