पाशुपतव्रतविधिः | The Procedure of the Supreme Pāśupata Vow
हुत्वाज्येन समिद्भिश्च चरुणा च यथाक्रमम् । पूर्णामापूर्य तां भूयस्तत्त्वानां शुद्धिमुद्दिशन्
hutvājyena samidbhiśca caruṇā ca yathākramam | pūrṇāmāpūrya tāṃ bhūyastattvānāṃ śuddhimuddiśan
Sau khi lần lượt dâng cúng bơ tinh khiết (ghee), các que củi thiêng và lễ vật nấu chín (caru), hành giả lại làm đầy lễ hiến cuối (pūrṇāhuti) một lần nữa, chí tâm hồi hướng cho sự thanh tịnh của các tattva—những nguyên lý căn bản của thân hữu tình.

It presents outer yajña as a mirror of inner sādhanā: the final oblation is offered with the intention of tattva-śuddhi—purifying the layers of embodied existence that bind the soul (paśu) under pāśa, so it may turn toward Pati (Śiva) and liberation.
The ordered offerings culminate in pūrṇāhuti, implying completion and surrender; in Śaiva practice this aligns with worship of Saguna Śiva (often through the Liṅga) where ritual acts are consciously dedicated not merely for worldly fruits but for inner purification leading to Śiva-realization.
A homa performed in proper sequence, concluding with pūrṇāhuti while mentally dedicating the act to tattva-śuddhi; as a meditative corollary, one can pair offerings with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplation of releasing impurities from gross to subtle levels.
