अनुग्रह-स्वातन्त्र्य-प्रमाणविचारः | Inquiry into Pramāṇa, Divine Autonomy, and Grace

आगन्तुकत्वे कस्यापि भाव्यं केनापि हेतुना । यो ऽयं हेतुरसावेकस्त्वविचित्रस्वभावतः

Transliteration

āgantukatve kasyāpi bhāvyaṃ kenāpi hetunā | yo 'yaṃ heturasāvekastvavicitrasvabhāvataḥ

Translation

Nếu điều gì được nói là chỉ do ngoại lai mà đến, thì hẳn phải được quy về một nguyên nhân nào đó. Nhưng nguyên nhân ấy—vốn chỉ là một và có bản tính không biến dị—tự nó không thể giải thích tính “ngoại lai” ấy.
