Cosmic Event: Cosmic manifestation through Māyā as the root-nature of effects (kārya-jāta).
The verse identifies the Goddess (Satī/Śakti) as the primordial root-nature behind all manifested effects, while also affirming her higher, purifying dimension (śuddhādhvan) that leads the soul beyond bondage toward liberation in a Shaiva Siddhanta frame.
Linga worship honors Shiva as Pati (the Lord) and also reveres his inseparable Śakti: this verse explains that the same Śakti appears as Māyā producing the world (effects) and as the pure-path power guiding devotees inward—supporting Saguna worship that culminates in realizing Shiva’s transcendence.
A practical takeaway is śakti-oriented meditation—contemplating Kuṇḍalinī as the inner power and praying for ascent along the “pure path” (śuddhādhvan); it pairs well with japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and disciplined yogic concentration.
