दक्षस्य यज्ञप्रवृत्तिः तथा ईश्वरवर्जितदेवसमागमः
Dakṣa’s Sacrificial Undertaking and the Devas’ Assembly without Īśvara
स तदा शुशुभे पार्श्वे भद्रस्य भसितप्रभः । भगवानिव शैलेन्द्रः पार्श्वे विश्वजगद्गुरोः
sa tadā śuśubhe pārśve bhadrasya bhasitaprabhaḥ | bhagavāniva śailendraḥ pārśve viśvajagadguroḥ
Bấy giờ Ngài, rực sáng bởi ánh tro thánh, tỏa vẻ huy hoàng bên cạnh Bhadra—như ngọn núi uy nghi đứng kề Đấng là Bậc Đạo Sư của toàn thể vũ trụ.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
The verse highlights the sanctifying radiance of bhasma (sacred ash) and the exalted proximity to Shiva, the Vishvajagadguru—implying that nearness to Pati (Shiva) illumines the devotee and supports liberation by loosening pasha (bondage).
By praising Shiva as the Guru of the universe and emphasizing bhasma’s brilliance, it supports Saguna Shiva worship through Shaiva marks and rituals commonly performed alongside Linga devotion—honoring Shiva’s grace as the means to inner purification.
It suggests reverent use of bhasma (often as Tripundra) with remembrance of Shiva as Vishvajagadguru—ideally accompanied by japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplation on impermanence symbolized by ash.
