Manu–Śatarūpā, Prasūti, and the Marriages of Dakṣa’s Daughters

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Cosmic Event: svayambhuva-manvantara (cycle of time) with mass passing-away of lineages
It situates sacred lineages within the vast cycles of time (Manvantaras), reminding the seeker that even exalted families rise and pass, while the Pati (Lord Shiva) alone is the timeless refuge beyond change.
By emphasizing impermanence in cosmic history, the verse indirectly points the devotee toward stable devotion—taking shelter in Saguna Shiva through Linga-worship as a means to transcend time-bound identity and attain Shiva’s grace.
Contemplate the transience of worldly lineage and status, and steady the mind in japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a daily practice, offering actions and identity into Shiva as the eternal ground.
