Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse portrays the protective, Saguna (manifest) majesty of Rudra’s host—bull-mounted, trident-bearing, and three-eyed—signifying Shiva’s sovereign power that removes fear and upholds dharma even amid conflict.
Though the Linga points to Shiva’s transcendent Nirguna reality, this verse highlights Saguna Shiva—recognizable by Trinetra and Trishula—helping devotees contemplate Shiva’s active grace (anugraha) that safeguards and guides beings.
Meditate on Shiva as Trinetra and Trishula-dhārin while repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and (where traditional) apply Tripuṇḍra bhasma as a reminder of Rudra’s protection and inner fearlessness.
