Devī’s Wrath and the Manifestation of the Śaktis

The verse highlights how saṃśaya (doubt) collapses inner strength; in Shaiva thought, fear arises when the mind forgets the Lord’s orderly governance of creation, preservation, and dissolution.
By turning from anxious speculation to steady worship, the devotee takes refuge in Saguna Shiva (as the accessible Lord) whose Linga symbolizes unwavering reality beyond mental turbulence.
A practical remedy is japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with calm breath, along with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as supports for steadiness and removal of doubt.
