प्र वो देवं चित्सहसानमग्निमश्वं न वाजिनं हिषे नमोभिः । भवा नो दूतो अध्वरस्य विद्वान्त्मना देवेषु विविदे मितद्रुः ॥

Transliteration

prá vó deváṁ cit sahasā́nam agním áśvaṁ ná vā́jinaṁ híṣe námobhiḥ | bhávā no dūtó adhvarásya vidvā́n tmanā́ devéṣu vivide mitá-druḥ ||

Translation

Con xin dâng lên Ngài Agni (Agní) thần thánh, bậc hùng lực bởi uy năng; như tuấn mã sung mãn, kẻ lao nhanh của chiến thắng, bằng những lễ bái cung kính. Xin Ngài hãy làm sứ giả của tế lễ (adhvara) cho chúng con—đấng biết các nẻo đường; tự nơi bản thể mình, Ngài tìm được chỗ đứng giữa các thần, với bước đi được đo lường, có chừng mực.
