किन्त्वेषा मे सखी सा च मत्कृते दुःखपीडिते ।
अतो नाभिलषे भोगान् भोक्तुमेतेन वै समम् ॥
kintv eṣā me sakhī sā ca mat-kṛte duḥkha-pīḍite | ato nābhilaṣe bhogān bhoktum etena vai samam ||
“Nhưng nàng là bạn của con, và nàng đang chịu sầu khổ vì con. Vì thế, con không muốn hưởng lạc—hưởng lạc cùng ngài (với tư cách phu quân)—khi nàng còn đang đau khổ.”
