रहितं धिष्ण्यमालोक्य समुत्सार्य च रक्षिण: । पितेव पुत्र गाड़ेय: परिरभ्यैकपाणिना
sañjaya uvāca | rahitaṃ dhiṣṇyam ālokya samutsārya ca rakṣiṇaḥ | pitevā putraṃ gāḍheyaḥ parirabhyai kapāṇinā |
Sañjaya nói: Thấy gian phòng trống vắng và đã cho lính canh lui ra, lão tướng Bhīṣma ôm lấy Karṇa bằng một tay với tình thương sâu nặng—như người cha ôm ghì con trai. Rồi trong chốn riêng tư ấy, ông bắt đầu cất lời.
