अनुजानीष्व मां तात युद्धाय कृतनिश्चयम् । अनुज्ञातस्त्वया वीर युद्धयेयमिति मे मति:
anujānīṣva māṃ tāta yuddhāya kṛtaniścayam | anujñātas tvayā vīra yuddhāyeyam iti me matiḥ ||
Karna nói: “Xin cha cho phép con; con đã quyết chí ra trận. Hỡi bậc anh hùng, lòng con tin rằng chỉ khi được người chuẩn thuận con mới bước vào chiến địa—vì thế xin người vui lòng ban lệnh cho con.”
