सर्व दुर्योधनस्यार्थ त्यक्त मे भूरिदक्षिण । मा चैतद् व्याधिमरणं क्षत्रं स्थादिति कौरव
sarva duryodhanasyārtha tyakta me bhūridakṣiṇa | mā caitad vyādhimaraṇaṁ kṣatraṁ sthād iti kaurava ||
Karna nói: “Vì Duryodhana, ta đã từ bỏ tất cả—kể cả những phần thưởng và lợi lộc lớn lao vốn có thể thuộc về ta. Hỡi Kaurava, chớ để đạo của chiến sĩ (kṣatra-dharma) bị mang tiếng chỉ là ‘bệnh tật và cái chết’.”
