अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

न शान्तिमधिगच्छामि दुःखशोकसमाहत: । इति मे चिन्तयानस्य पित: शान्तिर्न विद्यते

na śāntim adhigacchāmi duḥkhaśokasamāhataḥ | iti me cintayānasya pitaḥ śāntir na vidyate ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Bị sầu khổ và bi thương quật ngã, ta không sao đạt được an bình. Khi ta cứ mãi xoay vần những việc ấy trong tâm trí, thưa cha, nơi ta chẳng có lấy một chút bình yên.”
