The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
श्रुतश्चापि मया भूय: कृष्णस्यापि विशाम्पते | कथां कथयत: पूर्व ब्राह्मणं प्रति पाण्डव
śrutaś cāpi mayā bhūyaḥ kṛṣṇasyāpi viśāmpate | kathāṃ kathayataḥ pūrvaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ prati pāṇḍava prajānātha pāṇḍunandana ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi bậc chúa của muôn dân, hỡi Pāṇḍava, hỡi con của Pāṇḍu—chính điều này ta cũng từng nghe lại từ miệng Kṛṣṇa, khi trước Người đang thuật một chuyện tương tự cho một vị Bà-la-môn. Vì thế, lời ta kể không phải chỉ là truyền khẩu, mà là giáo huấn đã được lời nói uy tín xác chứng.”
