नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
कुरुकुलका भार वहन करनेवाले पितामह! मैं आपके मुखसे यह तारक-वधका सम्पूर्ण वृत्तान्त सुनना चाहता हूँ। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें बड़ा कौतूहल है ।।
Bhīṣma uvāca: Vipannakṛtyā rājendra devatā ṛṣayas tathā | Kṛttikāś codayāmāsur apatya-bharaṇāya vai ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu đại vương, khi công việc của họ lâm vào nguy khốn, tưởng chừng hỏng mất, các chư thiên và các bậc hiền triết đã thúc giục sáu Kṛttikā nhận lấy việc nuôi dưỡng đứa trẻ ấy, để mục đích đã định không bị dang dở.”
