Chapter 84: Brahmā’s Counsel on Tāraka, the Search for Agni, and the Genesis of Skanda

गावस्तेजो महद् दिव्यं गवां दान॑ प्रशस्यते । ये चैता: सम्प्रयच्छन्ति साधवो वीतमत्सरा:
vyāsa uvāca | gāvas tejo mahad divyaṃ gavāṃ dānaṃ praśasyate | ye caitāḥ samprayacchanti sādhavo vītamatsarāḥ |
Vyāsa nói: “Bò mang một hào quang lớn lao, mang tính thần linh; vì thế việc bố thí bò được ca ngợi. Những bậc thiện nhân, dứt bỏ lòng ganh ghét và ác ý, đem những con bò ấy mà hiến tặng, được xem là thật sự có công đức. Những người bố thí như vậy được kể như kẻ ban phát mọi thứ bố thí, và họ đạt đến cõi thanh tịnh của loài bò—Goloka.”
