Daiva–Puruṣakāra Inquiry: Fate and Human Effort

पुरूरवाश्च राजर्षिद्विजैरभिहित: पुरा । ऐल इत्यभिविख्यात: स्वर्ग प्राप्तो महीपति:,इसी तरह पूर्वकालमें ऐल नामसे विख्यात राजर्षि पुरूरवा ब्राह्मणोंके आशीर्वाद देनेपर स्वर्गलोकको प्राप्त हुए थे

purūravāś ca rājarṣir dvijair abhihitaḥ purā | aila ity abhivikhyātaḥ svargaṃ prāpto mahīpatiḥ ||

Bhishma nói: “Cũng trong thời cổ, bậc vương thánh Purūravas—nổi danh với tên Aila—đã đạt đến cõi trời, dù là chúa tể mặt đất, nhờ những lời tán dương và phúc lành của các Bà-la-môn.”
