चतुणमिव वर्णानां धर्मो नान्यस्य विद्यते | वर्णानां धर्महीनेषु संख्या नास्तीह कस्यचित्
Translation
Bhīṣma nói: “Trong kinh điển, chỉ có pháp (dharma) của bốn varṇa được xác định; ngoài ra không có. Còn giữa những hạng pha tạp lìa dharma ấy, thì nơi đây không thể ấn định một con số nhất định nào cho các phân biệt và tiểu phân biệt về varṇa.”
